Say Goodbye to Swirls & Other Paint Defects!
What is paint correction?
Paint correction, though self-explanatory, is very involved. It is a labor-intensive procedure that involves hours of machine cutting and polishing of your vehicle’s clear coat to remove defects like swirls, scratches, oxidation, & water spots.
What Paint Defects Does Paint Correction Fix?
Please note: ALL paint correction services include our ridiculous wash process, decontamination (to make the paint smooth and clean), and a 6-month sealant far superior to any wax. Ceramic coatings can be added with a simple price addition. IGL ceramic coatings, may require a higher level of paint correction to get the paint to a high enough level for application.
Enhancement Paint Correction
As the name suggests, this level of paint correction utilizes just one stage of machine polishing (also referred to as one-step polishing) to enhance the paint. While not considered a “perfection detail” given the single stage process, a big transformation in the condition of the paint can be achieved.
On softer paints (Japanese cars for instance), we can usually remove 50-80% of all swirls, haze, and light defects, whereas on harder paints (German brands), this could be 40-70%.
There are a lot of different variables that dictate just how much correction that you can safely achieve in a one step process, and we approach each car and paint system accordingly to maximize results for the given budget or goals.
There is no one system or product that works for all vehicles, and we are well-versed in all the modern polishes and techniques so that each vehicle can be tailored to accordingly.
Multi-Stage Paint Correction
When you step up to the realm of multi-stage paint correction, you’re significantly improving the finish by removing all of the swirls, and all of the heaviest of scratches and defects possible.
This process starts with a heavy compounding machine polishing stage to remove the defects, and then followed by a secondary polishing stage to refine the finish and increase gloss and clarity.
Given the differences in paint types, condition, and size of vehicles, the rate for the Multi-Stage Paint Correction varies, but we will consult with each vehicle owner to provide a more precise pricing structure.
The paint type and condition will also dictate the level of correction, but typically this process on most cars will get rid of 90-95+% of all defects. And at this level of correction, you’re getting very close to that of a brand-new vehicle!
